The Left Hand of Darkness

In the universe of the Hainish cycle by Ursula K. Le Guin, Earth is one of many colonies created by the progressors from the planet Hain and left unattended for a long time. Such as the closed world of Rocannon.... Or the third planet of Gamma Draconis, a planet of exile, with irreconcilable indigenous tribes fighting against the colonists. Or the planet Winter, where the lives of its inhabitants depend directly on lunar cycles… Each world has its own mysteries, its own problems, its own heroes. The only connecting link that unites the works of the cycle is the author's belief that not hatred, but the power of love and the ethics of non-interference in the affairs of unlike civilizations can unite worlds and blend peoples into a future Ecumenical alliance.
