Noah's Ark

A snowstorm catches a group of poorly prepared tourists in the Polar Ural Mountains, who set off on a hike "via the Internet." Alla realizes that the group is on the brink of death. They have an injured member, and... they cannot overcome the pass. Death, terrifying, senseless, envelops them all with its icy breath. 
The freezing group is found by Mark Ledogorov and he escorts them to a remote forest outpost, which resembles an ark. It seems like a miracle has happened, everyone is saved, but... who is this Mark Ledogorov? What is he doing here?
