The book introduces the main orthophonic, grammatical, and lexical norms of modern Russian language and offers a system of exercises that facilitate their mastery. Special attention is given to preventing errors typical for the Russian speech of bilinguals — students... who speak fluently in two languages, one of which is Russian, and who live outside of Russia. The course is primarily intended for those who have learned Russian at home, in the family, but have not studied it systematically or are uncertain about their proficiency. The book is addressed to high school students and freshmen in universities who wish to clarify or systematize their understanding of Russian grammar, word use, and spelling.
