But believe us, his poetry deserves no less attention! “Mushrooms from Yuggoth” is a cycle of 36 sonnets united by a common plot, which can be read in one breath. Capturing all the beauty of poetic forms without distorting the meaning is incredibly difficult, but we turned to the incredibly talented translator and poet A. I. Gastev, who already had experience in the artistic translation of the poetry of A. Tennyson, R. Kipling, J. Keats, C. Baudelaire, E. A. Poe, P. Verlaine, and other renowned authors, and he accepted this challenge. The result brought us incredible delight.However, for absolute aesthetic perfection, visualization was lacking, so we turned to the talented artist L. Logvinenko, who brought to life the images from each sonnet with atmospheric illustrations.Inside the book, you will find the complete cycle of 36 sonnets, lovingly translated into Russian, each individually illustrated according to its content and stage of the journey.
