Geometry Around Us. Drawing on Grid Paper for Children Aged 5-7

The workbook "Geometry Around Us" is part of the additional organizational and methodological support package for the "Mathematical Steps" technology and is intended for joint work of an adult with a child aged 5-7 to develop mathematical concepts and solve... tasks in the educational area "Cognitive Development". The child completes tasks during practical activities - drawing symbolic representations of objects from geometric shapes in a grid notebook. The goals of various tasks are to draw an object from one or several geometric shapes based on a sample, from memory, and then create their own version of the drawing. While working in the workbook, the child learns to plan their actions; develops attention, memory, imagination, fine motor skills, and independence; acquires skills necessary for forming the prerequisites for educational activity. The tasks are grouped by lexical themes, which also allows addressing the speech development tasks of the child.
