Crossroads of Fates

A wanderer, a thief from the Maidan, a camp inmate, an adventurer, an artist, a journalist, Mikhail Dyomin, also known as Georgy Trifonov - brother of Yuri Trifonov. In prison, Dyomin had to hide his true origins. An old friend... composed a "proper" biography for him: mother - a prostitute, father - a professional thief… After his release, Mikhail Dyomin began publishing first in Siberian, then in central press, releasing four collections of poetry and a prose book. In 1968, he moved to Paris and became a non-returning writer. In the West, he published an autobiographical trilogy "Thief", "Taiga Wanderer", "Red Devil".
His pen also produced the two-part work offered to you today in the unique genre of criminal detective "Crossroads of Fates". The first part "...And Five Bottles of Vodka", its heroes are criminals operating in southern Ukraine, and the second - "Secrets of Siberian Diamonds", where we will immerse ourselves in the brutal world of diamond mines and taiga swamps of Yakutia. These books were previously published in Russia in small editions only in the 1990s and are almost unknown to the modern reader. Dyomin wrote in a very captivating manner, with an understanding of not only the criminal world but also the nature and ethnography of the northern peoples.
