The Second Death of Edie and Violet Bond

Sacramento, 1885. Seventeen-year-old twins Edie and Violet Bond know the truth about death. They inherited a gift from their mother: Violet summons the spirits of the dead, while Edie herself enters their world. Unfortunately, because of these abilities, their father... almost sent the daughters to a notorious mental asylum. After escaping from home, Edie and Violet joined a troupe of wandering women mediums, who, under the guise of communicating with spirits, showcase their true talents. Every evening, they 'make contact' with the otherworldly realm… and through music, poetry, and lectures, share thoughts with the audience that young ladies are forbidden to express aloud. Meanwhile, someone has begun hunting mediums. The sisters could become the next victims, for the killer will stop at nothing to cheat death.
