Devil's Doll

Zinaida Gippius (1869–1945) — a poetess and ideologue of Russian symbolism, wife of Dmitry Merezhkovsky. For a long time, the writer's works were not published in Russia — she left her homeland during the Civil War. From the thick St.... Petersburg fog, the "decadent Madonna" wove her mystical-social novel about the beautiful Yurul — an aristocrat who lives for himself and pleasures.
