Inna Seliverstova, head of the information department of the Beloyarsky region – "the Queen of Sheba, Cleopatra, a bitch and a plague," as her enemies and opponents called her – was confused for the first time. The governor of the... region, Mukhin, was murdered. Then someone shot his widow, and Inna was in another room at the time. As if in a dream, she grabbed some newspapers from the table with the inscription "Seliverstova" and fled from the dreadful house. In the morning, it was announced that Mukhin had died of a heart attack... The struggle for the gubernatorial throne began. And then the main contender appeared - oligarch Alexander Yastrebov.
