The Little Humpbacked Horse by Yershov with illustrations by Messerer

In this edition, like in a magical box, beautiful drawings and music, and an amazing mystery are hidden. Boris Messerer created sketches for the ballet "The Little Humpbacked Horse" to the music of Rodion Shchedrin, and perhaps even unnoticed by... the artist himself, the characters conceived by Pyotr Yershov a century and a half ago came to life in his drawings. Both the little horse, the perch fish, and the Firebird, not to mention the charming cunning Ivan, turned out to be both magical and real.
