Japan, Christmas 1983. The wealthy industrialist Kodzaburo Hamamoto has gathered friends and acquaintances in his mansion. The guests are amazed by his house – a whimsical structure with numerous rooms, sloped floors, and staircases leading to seemingly nowhere, with a... ‘tilting’ high tower reminiscent of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
