Mirror drawing promotes the development of interaction between the right and left hemispheres of a child's brain. In addition to developing the motor skills of both hands, it fine-tunes the brain's natural functions, allowing each hemisphere to implement its own... way of perception and processing of information.
The harmonious and coordinated work of both hemispheres of the brain is a factor in successful further learning in school. Mirror drawing is not easy even for adults, so two conditions are important: a calm pace and systematic work.
