Kazimir Malevich — avant-garde artist, founder of the "new painting realism" — Suprematism, non-objective art that asserts the intrinsic value of color. Malevich's painting manifesto became the world-famous "Black Square"; however, the affirmation of new aesthetic principles was for him... a matter not only of artistic practice but also of deep philosophical reflection. This publication is intended to introduce the reader to Malevich's legacy — as a theorist and thinker. The collection includes selected works, many of which were published during the artist's lifetime from 1916 to 1928, while others were found in archives and were only published in the 1990s.
