Casper was created by illustrators Seymour Reit and Joe Oriolo in the 1940s for a collection of children's stories. However, the book was never published, and in 1945, the friendly ghost was acquired by Paramount Pictures, which created several animated... films about him. The story of the shy rebel who did not want to live by the laws of the ghostly world and scare the living quickly gained popularity. And when Casper came under the wing of Harvey Entertainment, more than twenty titles were released in the series, all somehow related to the cute ghost. In Russia, Casper is known from the film adaptations of the 1990s. Comics are being published in Russian for the first time. This anthology includes stories from the magazine Casper the Friendly Ghost published by Harvey Comics and St. John Publishing in the 1950s.
