This book presents a description of the Heian kata series in the interpretation of Russian martial arts master Roman Romanovich Romanov. Fate brought him to Okinawa in the early last century. Roman Romanovich claimed that the martial art demonstrated to... him by the karate masters was soft and focused on internal work. According to him, the application of kata movements had nothing to do with how they are interpreted today.
