Having begun to search for the perfect recipe for a magical winter book, we took an evening snowy street of old London, added a generous portion of Victorian charm, a pinch of twinkling lights on Christmas trees, seasoned it all... with the wit of Charles Dickens, and let it steep in an atmosphere of kindness and forgiveness — thus we created this festive collection. Each story within is infused with gentle humor and heartfelt warmth, like an exquisite pie kneaded with joy and homely comfort. “A Christmas Carol in Prose” is its foundation: the grim Scrooge, stewing in his own juices, suddenly discovers the joy of generosity and love. “The Cricket on the Hearth” is a crispy Christmas cracker, filled with homeliness and family happiness, while “The Haunted Man” is a spicy treat with a hint of secrets and forgiveness, leaving a lasting and warm aftertaste.
