The book contains separate chapters from the most significant works, allowing to recreate the picture of the life of Alexander Nevsky and the historical events that served as its backdrop. These include "The Life of Alexander Nevsky," selected chapters from... "Russian History in the Lives of Its Main Figures" by N. I. Kostomarov, "History of Russia from Ancient Times" by S. M. Solovyov, "History of the Russian State" by N. M. Karamzin, and fragments from "Tales of Russian Land" by A. D. Nechvolodov. Each chronicler and historian narrated the deeds of Alexander in their own way, often providing different interpretations. Information about the life and military feats of the great prince is scattered across various historical sources and therefore does not provide a complete picture of the life of this great Russian figure. The purpose of this publication is to attempt to consolidate the data from various sources concerning his biography in a literary review, so that readers can recreate the historical picture of that time. Such recreation is important in general education and especially in the educational process, for the successful implementation of which this publication was conceived. "The Life of Alexander Nevsky" is presented in a modern Russian language translation, while other works are in the author's edition.
