The Golden Key, or the Adventures of Buratino

Buratino is one of the most beloved and popular characters in children's literature. Alexei Tolstoy wrote this fairy tale based on a story told by Carlo Collodi, about a wooden puppet - Pinocchio - and named the hero Buratino. One... day, the old organ grinder Carlo made a talking puppet from a magic log. This wooden boy - Buratino - turned out to be quite a little rascal. Because of his mischief, Buratino finds himself in dangerous situations: he escapes from bandits, runs away from the Country of Fools, and, risking himself, saves his friends from the owner of the puppet theater, Karabas Barabas.
