11 Liars

Late in the evening, journalist Ben Harper is returning home to the London suburb of Hadley when he notices that an abandoned club at the local church is on fire. In the doorway, he sees a figure of a person... and rushes to help. The person saved from the flames — impossible to recognize in the smoke and fire — immediately flees. Later, when the police establish that the club was deliberately set on fire, and find the corpse of a woman who was killed 20 years ago in the foundation of the burnt building, Ben has many questions. With the help of his longtime friend, former local newspaper publisher Sam Hardy, he begins his own investigation and gradually becomes convinced that behind the peaceful facade of their upscale town lie dramas, tragedies, and even crimes, many of which have roots in the distant past. Maybe no one here can be trusted at all?
