Bulat Okudzhava taught children the Russian language and literature, worked as an editor at a publishing house, performed concerts, and his rich experience turned into an inexhaustible source of ideas for works. Reading or listening to his poems and songs,... one involuntarily experiences the same feelings as the lyrical heroes — a bright nostalgia for the childhood left in the past, the hope with which the hours of love rush through the Moscow streets, and the pain that torments the soldier after the war ends. This edition includes poems from different years, including such well-known ones as "The Song of the Cadets", "Your Excellency, Lady Separation...", "The Arbat Courtyard".
