In this issue of "Speech Therapist Folklore" we present teasers and funny dialogues. 
Like other forms of children's folklore - proverbs, sayings, counting rhymes, tall tales, tongue twisters - teasers and jokes will help in the development of a child's speech... and accelerate the process of practicing and automating difficult sounds. 
Teasers are pronounced loudly, in a singsong manner, and repeated multiple times. This helps the child develop clear diction and correct pronunciation. 
Short funny dialogues are convenient for memorization and retelling, which undoubtedly has a positive effect on the development of speech and memory in children. 
Moreover, teasers will help your child stand up for themselves in a child environment and put an offender in their place. Funny jokes will develop a sense of humor and sensitivity to absurd situations and silly statements.
