Experiment Set - Polymer Worms

Turn your home into a real laboratory! Everything you need is already in this secret box. Instructions: Wear gloves! Mix 2.5 grams of sodium alginate, a little dye, and 50 ml of warm water. Stir well. The reagent dissolves poorly, so try to... crush it and then leave it for 20 minutes for complete dissolution. In a separate container, prepare the second solution by mixing 5 g of calcium chloride in 50 ml of cold water. Be careful, the solution may heat up while mixing! Fill a syringe with the first gelatinous solution and squeeze the contents into the second solution. After 1-2 minutes, take out the resulting worm, do this while wearing gloves!
