Viktor Aleksandrovich Chizhikov (1935—2020) was an outstanding Soviet and Russian illustrator and graphic artist, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, and the creator of the famous Olympic Bear. Viktor Chizhikov created illustrations for almost 100 children's books, which have entered the "golden fund" of classic children's literature. His work has been honored with more than 30 Russian and foreign awards and prizes, including the Honorary Diploma of Hans Christian Andersen.
