The author seems to open a window to the captivating past of Russia. The second book tells about the Middle Ages, about its "dark centuries." There are far too many mysteries left by that time! What was the world like after the death of Attila? The schism of the Church, the birth of Islam, the Crusades, the campaigns of Genghis Khan, the Inquisition – all these events are closely connected. In this series, the Turks were both heroes and victims.
