Lyon Moiseevich Izmaylov (born 1940) is a well-known television presenter, poet, writer, and variety artist, and is among the most popular satirists and humorists in our country. A member of the Writers' Union since 1979. The author of several collections... of stories and novellas, including: "Good Mood" (1984), "Share of Truth" (co-authored with V. Chudodeev, 1986), "The Four Musketeers" (co-authored with V. Cheburov, 1989), "Pornography" (1990), "Bypass on the Curve" (1992), "The End of the World, or Good Mood" (co-authored with Mikhail Zadornov, 1993), "Vasya! Shashlik!" (a book of stories and memories about A. Mene, 1995), "Student from Culinary" (1991), "The Jester with Us" (1997). In 1998, his authorial video cassette "The Jester with Us" was released. Lyon Izmaylov graduated from the Higher Courses for Screenwriters at the State Cinema of the USSR (1973–1975) and wrote several plays, "which were fairly appreciated and therefore will never be staged." In 1973, 1977, and 1979, he was awarded the Literary Gazette Prize "Golden Calf."
