Psalter for Study

This book will appeal to those who want to better understand the meaning of the Psalter and learn to read in Church Slavonic. It contains an astonishing amount of useful material. The Church Slavonic text of the Psalter is accompanied... by a parallel translation into Russian. The translation was done in 1915 by Professor Pavel Aleksandrovich Yungerov (1856-1921) of the Kazan Spiritual Academy from the Greek text of the Septuagint, from which the Church Slavonic translation was also made. In addition, the book tells about the Psalter and includes the life of the holy king David, knowing which makes it easier to understand the psalms he wrote. There are also brief interpretations of the psalms by the words of the holy fathers and the basics of Church Slavonic grammar.
