Sacrament, word and image. Orthodox worship

Archpriest Alexander Men (1935–1990) - preacher, theologian, educator, author of dozens of books on the history of religion and the fundamentals of Christian doctrine. He led a truly ascetic life, had a talent for living and heartfelt words, his sermons... were widely distributed, attracting more and more Christians to the church. For the first time the book “Sacrament, Word, Image. Orthodox Worship" was published in Brussels in 1980 and was an expanded version of the previously published essay "Heaven on Earth." It talks about the structure of the temple, the course of worship and its rules, developed on the basis of centuries-old tradition, about holidays and important tenets of the Orthodox faith.
