Tarot cards are a system of symbols, a deck of 78 cards that appeared in the Middle Ages between the 14th and 16th centuries, and are now primarily used for divination. The images on the Tarot cards have complex interpretations... from the perspectives of astrology, occultism, and alchemy, which is why Tarot is traditionally associated with "secret knowledge" and is considered mysterious. Although the exact origins of Tarot are shrouded in the mists of antiquity, it is well known that the Gypsies are the main guardians of this ancient wisdom. The twenty-two Major Arcana represent twenty-two distinct plots, none of which repeat each other, and when laid out by numbers, they form a clear logical sequence. The Minor Arcana consists of four series or suits - Wands, Swords, Cups, and Coins, which later became Clubs, Spades, Hearts, and Diamonds. Each suit, like in playing cards, starts with the Ace, followed by the Two, Three, and so on up to Ten. There are also face cards - King, Queen, Knight, and Page - one more than in playing cards.
