What a strange dog lives in the house of brothers Kolya and Vasya?
It looks like a bench
And like a duck and a jackdaw,
It limps along.
It has crooked paws and a long nose,
Its ears hang down to the floor!

But this is... a purebred dachshund! American writer Leonard Lewis Levinson joked that the dachshund is a breed of dog of a certain size, about half a dog in height and one and a half dogs in length. And Samuel Marshak composed very funny and positive poems. The dog in them is named Vaksan-Klyaksa.
The dog is very loyal to its owners, ready to run after them to the ends of the earth, to bring the boys a real soccer ball, and even to battle a whole pack of rats. Still, is it ugly or beautiful? Experts will answer this question at the dog show.
The psychologically expressive and cheerful illustrations to "Vaksan-Klyaksa" were created by the famous artist, author of the image of the yellow fluffy Murzilka, Aminadav Kanevsky. His drawings are characterized by lively humor and comic exaggeration of situations and images. They are made in Kanevsky's favorite style of pen drawing with watercolor coloring.
