The Kite

Who are Quack and Frog? They are friends. True friends. They fly a kite, give each other gifts, drink tea at night... they do all sorts of things! The author of this book, Arnold Lobel, is a famous American children's writer and illustrator. He has been awarded the honorary medal from the American Library Association for best book illustrations, and as a writer, he received the equally prestigious Newbery Medal (1973). But far more precious than any medals is the love of several generations of readers with whom Lobel shares his warm humor and a slightly naive, childlike perspective on life.
