Permanent modernity and cultural dynamics

The book is an attempt to comprehend culture in the broad context of modern philosophy: on the one hand, the author’s concept of “permanent modernity” is proposed as a definition of the existential situation of the dialogue between man and... being in the duration of existence; on the other hand, the reader can take a fresh look at the established concepts of “culture”, “civilization”, “modernity”, “postmodernity”, and at the (co)relationships between them. The text uses fresh concepts of continental (mainly French) political philosophy (Badiou, Rancière, Mouffe), refers to object-oriented ontology (Harman, Meillassoux, Bryant), actualizes Hegel, and responds to S. Zizek’s call to revive the subject.
