Dimka dreams of visiting the ancient City of Three Kings, which is forever buried under modern Kaliningrad. He heard that there were some secret paths, but he did not find any. After listening to a fairy tale that his mother... read to his sister, Dimka came up with a way to get into another era. And he succeeded! But not quite the way Dimka wanted. The City of Three Kings is guarded by unusual creatures, and they are sure that the stranger will not bring them any good - they have seen too many troubles from people...
A fantastic story in which real and fictional events are intertwined was written by one of the most famous Russian storytellers, Svetlana Lavrova. In 2021, she was nominated from Russia for the international Astrid Lindgren Memorial Prize.
