Legends of Crimea

Nikandr Alexandrovich Marks (1861—1921) — lieutenant general of the tsarist army, archaeologist and folklorist.
For the first time, "Legends of Crimea" were published in the newspaper "Morning of Russia" in 1912, 1913. Crimea was the ancestral home of the writer. There,... near Kara-Dag, in Otuzh, was the house of his ancestors. Each gorge, each mountain peak is associated with legends that were passed from mouth to mouth and carefully preserved by the locals. The collection will immerse the reader in the amazing world of Crimean folklore, the unique culture and traditions of the peninsula.
