This edition presents the fourth and final part of "The Book Four," written by the great magician, head of the Order of the Eastern Templars, Aleister Crowley (1875-1947). The foundation of its content is the "Book of the Law" ("Liber...
AL vel Legis sub figura CCXX"), which was connected to the entirety of Crowley's life and teachings. He was not the author of this prophetic book; he only transcribed it from the voice of a certain higher entity named Aiwass, who dictated this text to him on April 8-10, 1904, in Cairo. Crowley was convinced that the "Book of the Law" is the source of spiritual principles of the New Aeon and the key to transitioning to a new stage in the evolution of all humanity.
"Equinox of the Gods" is an amazing tale of how the "Book of the Law" was written and what circumstances led to its reception. This book includes extensive biographical information, excerpts from personal diaries, descriptions of ritual work, and comments on individual verses of the "Book of the Law", as well as the full text of "Liber AL" and reproductions of its manuscript.
For several decades, Crowley worked on the interpretation of the "Book of the Law," making it understandable not only to the initiated but also to the general public. The result of this work, completed with the help of Louis Wilkinson - a famous English writer and one of Crowley's closest friends - was a popular commentary presented in this edition under the title "The Law - for All".
