His series of colored lithographs “The Beauty of Forms in Nature” inspired artists around the world. The book had a huge impact on the art of the modern era, whose representatives sought to reproduce natural forms in stone, glass, and on paper. This edition contains all 100 lithographs by Haeckel, with indications of the depicted creatures and a preface by paleozoologist Alexei Bondarev, which will help understand the significance of this unique work.
