Rose and Seven Brothers

The sentimental tale by Louisa May Alcott tells the story of thirteen-year-old Rose Campbell. The girl has lost her parents, and she is about to embark on a new stage of life. She moves to live with relatives, and now... a large close-knit family will take care of her upbringing. Rose will find herself the only girl in a noisy group of boys. Immediately, seven of her cousins will offer her their protection and loyalty. In pre-revolutionary Russia, the tale was recommended for reading in women's institutes and gymnasiums because it provides many reasonable, measured pieces of advice for growing girls.
