Alexander Alexandrovich Blok (1880-1921) prepared his collections of poems for publication himself. The poet divided his lyric works into three books, each of which included certain cycles. Therefore, in our collection, we first present poems from these three books, preserving... the structure proposed by the author himself in his last lifetime publications. We also indicate the day, month, and place of creation of the works, as the poet did. In addition, we preserve the author's spelling and punctuation, about which A. Blok wrote to the editor of one of the editions: "Any grammatical mistake of mine in the poems is not accidental; behind it lies that which I cannot internally sacrifice; in other words, it 'sings' to me that way."The fourth section of the collection consists of those poems that Blok did not include in the first three books and were published separately. And, as you will be able to see for yourself, some of them are well known to the reader from early childhood. The fifth section includes excerpts from the unfinished poem "Retribution," the poem "The Twelve," and the poem "Scythians." Alexander Blok wrote this poem within two days immediately after finishing the poem "The Twelve." Therefore, these two works are usually published together in the poet's collections. For senior high school age.
