From East to West: The Journey of a Letter in a Bottle

The lighthouse keeper Pyotr Kruglov decided to send a letter by bottle mail. He asked everyone who came across his message to add a small letter about themselves: where the person lives, how they spend their time, what traditions exist... in their family and surroundings. The bottle travels across the vast territory of Russia, from Vladivostok to St. Petersburg, ending up in places where the overwhelming majority of readers have certainly never been. And the people who fish out the bottle add their own stories to the message inside — how they live in eternal frost; what traditions the mountain peoples have; why in the Ural region people even speak a little differently than in Central Russia.
