The series of prints "36 Views of Fuji," first published in 1831–1832, became the hallmark of its author, Katsushika Hokusai (1760—1849) and still remains one of the symbols of Japanese culture of the Edo period. The originator of the landscape... genre in Japanese woodblock printing, who combined the artistic traditions of Japan, China, and some European countries, Hokusai had a significant influence on European painting and decorative arts. The latest edition in the "Pinacoteca Anthropos" series publishes Hokusai's masterpiece in a format intended for artists and designers, professionals and enthusiasts. The tear-out sheets with reproductions are conveniently copied and can be used as decor elements in interiors, and the block of outline copies can be colored independently.
