Irish writer and journalist Maeve Binchy (1940–2012) is well known not only in her homeland but also around the world. In addition to short stories, Binchy has authored over a dozen novels, her books have consistently become bestsellers and have... received prestigious international awards several times. In the 1970s, Binchy published three collections of short stories, quite successfully, but her true fame came with the release of her first novel "Light a Candle" (1982).

Who said that in a field like catering there are no dreamers? Cathy and Tom became friends in culinary school and now hope to conquer Dublin by establishing a catering company called "Scarlet Feather." However, not everyone shares their optimism. Cathy's mother-in-law disapproves of both her daughter-in-law and her new "hobby," while Cathy's husband Neil is so busy with work that he pays no attention to anything else.
