Kormiltsev. Cosmos as Memory

In his book, renowned music journalist, producer, and writer Alexander Kushnir explores the biography of Ilya Kormiltsev — a poet, translator, publisher, public figure, and author of many hits by the bands "Nautilus Pompilius", "Nastya", and "Urfin Dzhus", which formed... the "golden fund" of Russian rock. The textual texture of the book is constructed from contemporary folklore — hundreds of exclusive interviews conducted over five years with musicians, friends, relatives, poets, writers, politicians, and cultural scholars. Alexander Kushnir was personally acquainted with Ilya Kormiltsev, interviewed him multiple times, and collaborated on various projects. This edition is part of Kushnir's series of books dedicated to the "lives of forbidden people". The story of Kormiltsev continues the exploration of the fates of underappreciated geniuses of the domestic underground, begun in the book about Sergey Kurekhin "The Mad Mechanics of Russian Rock", which received the "Steppe Wolf" award in the nomination of "Best Rock Book of 2014".
