Matryoshka dolls represent characters from Russian folk tales. The toy not only teaches to choose the largest figure among all, to... build a series by size (from the smallest character to the larger), but also helps the child remember the fairy tale characters and learn to stage it.
Despite the simplicity of the matryoshka, it carries a lot for the development of your child.
First, with the help of the matryoshka, introduce your child to the Russian folk toy. Explain to the child what a MATRYOSHKA is, how it differs from other dolls, and what makes it attractive.
Second, the purpose of the game is to familiarize with the basics of plot play. When telling the fairy tale for the first time, do not forget to distinguish different characters with intonation. Play hide and seek with your child: ask them to guess who is inside the grandfather, who is sitting in the egg, how many figures fit into the large (medium, and so on) matryoshka… With each time, engage the child in more activity, let them arrange the characters by height, articulate fragments of the fairy tale text.
Third, with the help of the matryoshka, one can study the simplest mathematical concepts – the concepts of "more", "less", the concept of "size", building a series by size; ordinal and cardinal counting.
Familiarizing with the characters of fairy tales, playing out the plot with matryoshka dolls enhances the child's perception, memory, imagination, develops speech and fine motor skills (teach the child to open the matryoshka with rotational movements, and by three years – to match the picture on the two parts).
