Vladimir Mayakovsky tried to foresee what the year 2030 would be like and warned against dangerous tendencies that hinder the future from becoming progressive and constructive. But for the modern reader, the year 2030 is already the near future, and... there is an opportunity to compare the present with Mayakovsky's predicted not-so-distant future, literally knocking at our lives. The book includes the post-revolutionary dramaturgy of Vladimir Mayakovsky — the poetic "Mystery Buff" in two editions from 1918 and 1921, and the comedies "The Bedbug," "The Bathhouse," written in the post-revolutionary decade, which reflected the evolution of the poet's attitude towards the social restructuring of society, from "heroic, epic, and satirical depictions of our era" to the author's foresight of the future.
