Vasily Surikov: A Comprehensive Textbook for Learning Russian as a Foreign Language + DVD

“Vasily Surikov” is a comprehensive textbook included in the series “Golden Names of Russia.” It offers students studying Russian as a foreign language the opportunity to learn about the biography of the remarkable Russian artist V. I. Surikov and to... watch a film about him.
The texts of the brochure are mainly based on the personal memoirs of V. I. Surikov, recorded by Maximilian Voloshin, as well as the recollections of people who knew the artist. Aiming to promote a deeper understanding of the artist's biography, the texts are designed to develop reading skills and comprehension of Russian texts among foreign students at the initial level of proficiency in Russian as a foreign language (RKI). After reading the text or part of it, students are offered various tasks. Special attention is paid to tasks aimed at developing speaking skills.
The film is on the DVD and is intended for viewing on a computer or through a DVD player. The duration of the film is 15 minutes. The text of the film and all subsequent texts correspond to the first certification level (B1).
