Thicket

At the beginning of the 20th century. Jack Parker and his sister Lula are left without a father and mother after they were taken by a smallpox epidemic. Together with their grandfather, they set out on a journey, but at... the crossing, bank robbers kill their grandfather and kidnap their sister. Jack miraculously escapes and reaches the nearest town, but no one cares about him there. There is nowhere to expect help from, and only two people agree to rescue Lula in exchange for the Parker land: a sharp-tongued dwarf named Reginald, nicknamed Shorty, who shoots accurately and is angry with the whole world, and a huge gravedigger named Eustace, the son of a former slave. Together they head to the Thicket, a place even rangers try to avoid, following the trail of the gang of Ruthless Bill, a sadist and brutal killer. Soon Jack will realize that in these lands, life is worth nothing, and anyone who comes here will not return the same. If, of course, they return at all.
