From one to ten. Cheerful counting

The poem by Samuel Marshak "From one to ten. Cheerful counting" is one of the best and incredibly popular children's works for teaching counting.By listening to or reading the instantly memorable lines themselves, a child effortlessly and with pleasure memorizes... the numbers from 1 to 10. But this is not the only merit of the book. Simple and accessible verses teach not only counting but also everyday matters:"Because cats do not eat from a spoon";"And if you don't lie down in bed — you'll poke your nose";"Seven nights and days in a week";"Red light — no passing, yellow — be ready for the journey, and green light — go ahead".The wonderful text is organically complemented by the drawings of Vladimir Konashevich. They transport the numbers in a cart, keep the ones from fighting, feel sad when they get crossed out, joyfully push the numbers towards zero, have tea at a toy table, ride in a toy dump truck, feed cats milk, and perform many other funny and useful actions.The book is recommended for adults to read to preschool children, for joint viewing of the excellent pictures, and for toddlers to master basic counting. The book is also good for the first independent reading.
