Untimely Thoughts

The book by M. Gorky "Untimely Thoughts" consists of short notes published in his newspaper "New Life" from May 1, 1917, to June 16, 1918. Gorky's paradoxical style and ability to communicate with people from different layers serve to proclaim... a new stage of the revolution — the revolution of culture. Gorky does not trust either the Bolsheviks or any other politicians who are too hasty, and he demands that the people acquire the dignity that has not even been dreamed of by the bourgeois and petty bourgeois milieu. This book, sharp, bitter, criticizing Lenin and Trotsky, was not reissued until the times of perestroika, and in our days it can serve as a manual on oratory for young bloggers and public figures.
