Dog Confused is one of the most charming board games, each card of which was hand-drawn with watercolor paints and then digitized. The pictures make you want to look at them again and again. Add a compact size, simple rules,...
and a mechanics that creates excitement from the first game — and here you have a great game that will brighten more than one family evening. Dog Confused: a little more about the game: June was in full swing. The sun was shining outside, Gary Diken was sitting in his favorite chair reading. Neighboring him were the Kendal brothers — Phil and Steve. Phil was idly studying the painting hanging opposite him. Steve was carefully looking at the eclair lying between him and Gary.Gary Diken turned the page and reached for the eclair.“Woof!” – suddenly exclaimed Steve. Not removing his hand, Gary looked up at him in confusion.“Woof-woof,” – repeated Steve. Now two pairs of eyes were looking at him.“Woof?” – Gary asked again, not believing he was saying this.“Woof-woof,” – answered Steve convincingly.Gary rolled his eyes and withdrew his hand from the eclair. We don't claim to know for sure, but in our opinion, the board game Dog Confused was invented exactly like this. Except that instead of pictures of gentlemen in hats and monocles (and Steve, Gary, and Phil are true Brits), the authors decided to depict charming dogs on the cards.Of course, in the game you won’t have to bark (to be honest, there are no eclairs in it either). Instead, you will place dog cards next to the objects you like in order to continuously mark your claims to them. The player who has placed the most dogs on an object at the end of the round takes it into their collection as a trophy. The game features many dog breeds, each of which has its own value and rarity.Cats periodically interfere in the process. Well, you know, those cats. They always poke their noses into dogs’ business.Of course, no cat can stop the capture of an object, but they create a certain chaos. Hustle and confusion begin. And in this rush — those who are quick, get to eat. The more objects, the more points. There are 40 cards with objects in the game. Trash bins, tree houses, balloons, and even hot dog carts. Some are more, some less — your task is to try to collect them all. You can collect more than one.At the end of the game, the winner is the one who managed to extend their influence over the maximum number of diverse objects. We emphasize, diverse. For example, if you managed to get 4 fire hydrants, while your opponent has a hot dog cart, a trash bin, and a box, he will win because each unique item brings more points than a repeated one.By the way, it is quite symbolic that the strongest card in the game is the legendary Laika, who went to space even before the well-known Squirrel and Arrow, but did not return from it.This is a simple game, perfectly suited for cozy evenings with family and friends. It will be interesting for both children and adults. Feel free to add it to your collection or give it to loved ones. Game duration: 30 minutes
Number of players: from 2 to 5
