And then, out of nowhere, a hen with chicks, a cow with a calf, and a goat with a kid appeared - and they... all wanted a piece too. Oh, how sorry Shurochka felt about the delicious bun! In this simple story, there is a lesson understood even by the tiniest little girls and kind young men. Fun and cute illustrations for the poem by Konstantin Ryazanov were drawn by artist Maria Butrova, who had collaborated for many years with children's publishers and magazines.
