On June 6, six winners of the "Lyceum" award were announced on the main stage of the Literary Festival at Red Square. The book includes the texts of the winners — prose writers Anna Markina, Olga Kharitonova, Yefrosinia Kapustina, and... poets Leonid Negmatov, Vasily Natsentov, and Maika Lunyovskaya. Participants in the literary process, the authors of "Lyceum" — not only the prize winners — address the same issues as most contemporary Russian writers: they try to follow the golden thread of Princess Fevronia — to compose prose that interests readers, to write "with foreign blood," not limited to their own experience, and strive to present the reader not just with heroes, but with characters that are so lacking in our modern literature. Yuri BUIDA, Chairman of the Jury of the "Lyceum" Award. The Literary Award "Lyceum" named after Alexander Pushkin was established in 2017 to search for and encourage young talented Russian prose writers and poets aged 15 to 35, capable of making a significant contribution to the preservation and development of Russian and world artistic literature. The founders of the award are: the group of companies “LOTTE” in Russia (JSC “Lotte Russ” and LLC “Lotte KF RUS”), the Russian Book Union, the Literary Institute named after A. M. Gorky, the Association of Unions of Writers and Publishers of Russia, “Rossiyskaya Gazeta,” “Literary Gazette,” “Center for Supporting Domestic Literature.” The award was established with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. The supervisory board of the award is chaired by the president of the Russian Book Union Sergey Stepashin. Members of the Supervisory Board: Morten Bundgaard Andersen, Vladimir Grigoryev, Kim Jong Ki, Mikhail Shvydkoy, Alexey Varlamov, Sergey Shargunov, Maxim Zamyshev, Pavel Negoytsa. The acceptance of works for the ninth season of the "Lyceum" Award will open in January 2025. www.pushkinprize.ru
